Community Violence Prevention Roadmaps
The Community Violence Prevention Roadmaps (Roadmaps) offer community leaders a way to build a sustainable, cohesive, and locally-led violence prevention or intervention frameworks. The Roadmaps are designed to address the unique needs of differing California communities by providing suggestions for working group meetings and discussion elements to guide framework-building processes.
Communities throughout California experience different challenges and capabilities related to the prevention of violence. The state recognizes there is no one-size-fits-all solution for violence prevention – urban, suburban, and rural communities have diverse resources and demands to be considered.
By completing a Roadmaps Questionnaire, you can help us better understand the challenges and capabilities unique to your community. Furthermore, the questionnaire can help identify which program elements would best enhance violence prevention, and how the State of California can support the implementation of a violence prevention framework in your community.
